Dear visitor

You're interested in doing the bilingual Matura at our school? On this page you will find some more information; meet the people who teach their subjects in English (= immersion teaching); and find some links to examples of worksheets or to the teachers' own homepages, so that you can get a better impression of what immersion is all about.

If you decide to go for the bilingual Matura, you will normally do four of the following five subjects in English:

- chemistry
- geography
- history
- mathematics
- physics.

During the first year, all subjects are still taught in German; then immersion teaching begins in two or three subjects, and the rest follow in the third year. In autumn of your second year, you will also do an intensive three-week course at a language school in England, to give you more practice and boost your self-confidence and motivation to use English in many different situations.
